ETA: GREAT news! A very generous reader, who asked to remain anonymous, has sponsored an additional 15 winners! Thank you so much, wonderful person! So, this is now a “$15 for 30” giveaway. See below for details.
Sorry for the infrequent updates, people. I’ve limited my blogging because, like many of you, my emotions are on a merry-go-round of stress. My normal mental state is a little bit hypochondriac and a lotta control freak, so combine it with a deadly pandemic that disrupts everything, and you have someone you DON’T want regular updates from, believe me. You have your own stress to deal with. I’m dealing, though, and I wanted to do a little bit to help some of you deal, too. Hence, the subject line of this post.
Author Charlaine Harris once said, “Here’s to books, the cheapest vacation you can buy.” I couldn’t agree more, especially now, when none of us can go on a real vacation because we’re sheltering at home. So, I want to bring a little bit of book-related vacation to 15 of you. Sorry it can’t be more, but while my heart is full, my bank account isn’t.
So, I’m doing a $15 for 15* ETA, thanks to a generous, anonymous reader matching my giveaway funds, this is now a $15 for 30, or giving away a maximum amount of $15 dollars worth of books to 30 people. Not just my books, either. ANY author’s books. Because of the quantity and monetary limits, I need to set some rules, so here they are.
If you want your chance to be one of the thirty winners, then in the comment section HERE ONLY, please say which book(s) you want, from which author, in what format, at what price, and from what retailer. For example, you could say “I want COLD IRON HEART from Melissa Marr in paperback for $13.99 from Murder By The Book” (was that a shameless plug for Melissa’s upcoming release because I LOVED the Wicked Lovely series, and I can’t wait for this latest book? Why yes, yes it was :))
Or, you could say “I want COLD IRON HEART from Melissa Marr in ebook for $6.99 from Amazon, AND I want SAPPHIRE FLAMES from Ilona Andrews in ebook for $4.99 from Amazon” because you’d have budget for both books, with the $15 ceiling (was that another plug for a friend whose books I love? Yes, it was! Hey, my blog, my rules :)).
Or, shameless plugs aside, here’s an easy format to follow: “I want [book title] from [author name] in [preferred format] for [price of book] from [preferred retailer]” and don’t forget, many indie book stores are still shipping!
Repeat format IN THE SAME COMMENT until you hit the $15 book budget cap. Yes, I will pay taxes and shipping, (if shipping charges apply) and no, taxes and shipping charges WILL NOT COUNT toward your $15 book budget max. Just keep the book(s) total to $15 and I’ll take care of the rest.
This giveaway is open to US readers only because of limitations for gifting digital books to foreign countries, and because international shipping charges for paperbacks are hella expensive. I have endless love for you, readers, but I don’t have an endless budget. I hope you understand.
Giveaway starts now, and ends on Thursday, April 30th. Good luck, stay safe, and–if you’re not an essential worker–please stay inside.
