Contest winner and more.

March 14, 2013 by Jeaniene Frost 15 Comments

A winner has been chosen from the last Arc contest (randomly selected, of course, since how could I be expected to choose?). Without further ado, congratulations to Jessica Carlisle. Jessica, an email has been sent to your contest entry, but in case you didn’t see that, please send your mailing address to frostlight1 AT yahoo DOT com.

To everyone who didn’t win, sorry! As a consolation prize, I give you a compilation of quotes from Twice Tempted that my fan site has been posting – and will continue to post – every day until release. The quotes are deliberately not attributed or given context so that readers can guess who said what, and why :). To see the new quotes as they come in daily,go here.

The quotes:

“If Hell could fart, it would smell like this.”
“He’s gone, Leila.”
“Trying to whet my appetite by pretending I can’t have it?”
“You need to show more discretion or the next person I mesmerize will be you.”
“It’s fine…I’m not getting any older.”
“He’s already show signs of…mental instability.”
“I don’t want to touch you, either.”
“If you were anyone else, those would be your last words.”
“My dungeon, my rules.”
“If I’m a liar, I may as well get full value out of it.”
“Don’t touch me.”
“Put me down, I’m not feeling bitey anymore.”
“You can have all of me, but I’m taking all of you in return.”

Also, my fansite is running a contest about the newest quote (not posted here) and giving away a $25.00 gift card, so if you want in on that, go here for details.

Finally, people have been asking why the 20% of Twice Tempted isn’t available to read online yet. To be honest, I don’t know, so I pinged my editor, who didn’t know why it wasn’t available yet, either. She’s sent emails up the chain at Avon/HarperCollins to get it posted asap. As soon as it’s up, I promise to let you know and supply links.

Tomorrow I head over to the west coast of Florida for the Southwest Florida Reading Festival. My events schedule is here. Hope to see some of you there!

“He’s already show signs of…mental instability.”

Is that a typo on the grammer. Shouldn’t it be ‘showing’ or does the context or person saying it correct that?

Thank you for the Quotes. I wish I could go see you while you are in Florida but I’ll be working during those shows. Thank you very much for coming down here. We don’t get a lot of authors touring the west coast or even Florida in general.

It is incorrect here (I’ll fix it when I get a moment; leaving for Ft Myers now) but I think this was a typo in my copying/pasting from the fan site. Just checked my final Word .doc copy of Twice Tempted and I did have “showing” instead of “show.”

I’ve already posted my thanks on Goodreads and Facebook so I’ll post my thanks here too just so you know how thankful I really am!!! Vlad has always been my favorite male character in the Night Huntress series, even outranking Bones. I know– *gasp*! When I found out he was going to get his very own mini series and not just an individual book like Spade and Mencheres I was ecstatic and Once Burned quickly became my top to read book of 2012. I have been counting down the days for Twice Tempted since I closed Once Burned after devouring it on release day. To be randomly selected to receive the ARC has definitely made my night, my week and my month of March. So thank you, Jeaniene, for being so devoted to your fans even when life happens. You are awesome and I’ll continue to look forward to every release day because I know we’re getting something stellar.

That sucks. 🙁 I was asking because I get to see other local writers and talk to them. Several live in S.C. and N.C. It’s great to network.

Hey April! It’s not a link…. If you download the iBooks app, you can search for Twice Tempted and click the sample button. If you can’t get the app on your device, borrow one from someone who does. It’s worth it!!!!
