I’m going to blame the extensive travel lately (I’ve only been home one week out of the past six, and that was to recover from surgery) for the fact that it took me a couple hours after I woke up to remember that it was my release day. Thank you to everyone who’s wished me a happy release day! Yes, it’s finally out, and whatever format you choose to read Twice Tempted in (print, audio, ebook), I hope you enjoy it.
Speaking of travel, last weekend I was at the Virginia Festival of Books and in Richmond, VA for a signing. My first event was the Falling Headphones Over Heels panel about audio books with narrators Shannon Parks, Elizabeth Wiley and Anne Flosnik. It was fascinating to learn about the process of creating an audio book and all of the preparation the narrators go through to bring characters to life with their voices. Way to go, ladies!
After that, I was thrilled to share a panel and a signing with fellow paranormal authors Kim Harrison, Vicki Pettersson, and Pamela Palmer. Below is a picture of all of us at the Strange Brew panel, where we swapped books just for a laugh:
To those of you who came to the panel expecting to get an early copy of Twice Tempted, I’m so sorry. There was a snafu and the book seller didn’t have it. The next day at the Sam Miller’s Restaurant signing, though, it was on hand and I also signed some of the leftover stock. After that, Monday morning I had a live interview on WTVR Virginia This Morning. Do live TV interviews make me nervous? Of course! I always flash to that scene in Bruce Almighty where Steve Carell’s character begins to uncontrollably spew gibberish in fear that it will happen to me. It didn’t, though I may have giggled a little too much (hey, beats uncontrollable gibberish! :))

You were so so wonderful to myself and my daughter and we will have awesome memories of the day we met you. I’ve been DYING for this book since I finished ONCE BURNED. Vald had got to be one of my favorite all time heroes. Wow, how you stayed true to his history and yet still made him hero material shows such great story-telling talent. I can’t wait to see what happens in Twice.

I got mine today via ebook and was super stoked, but Wal-Mart had these on shelves 3 days ago. I almost bought it then but figured I would be good an wait. I just assumed the ebook was releasing later than print copies. Hope your publisher is aware WalMart was stocking these early!
I wish I could make it to the Asheville signing. Maybe get to one this summer. Can’t wait to read new Night Prince. Dowloaded to kindle.

I have now read Twice Tempted three times since I got it at midnight. Not quite sure what that says about me but all I can say is “Wow!” and “I’m going to die if I have to wait til next year to find out what happens next!” Awesome book. Thank you so much for bringing these characters to life.
I don’t know where to ask this question but as some of you have already read the books, I just thought I would put it out there…
I haven’t read the Cat & Bones series, but in Twice Tempted, Leila says, “Vampires are incapable of impregnating humans.” I have only read Once Burned and now just about 150 pages into the sequel, but I am really confused. I thought Cat was half-vampire/half-human. She’s not?! Please don’t spoil anything for me or get mad at me for a dumb question but am I missing something?
Cat is half vampire I wont explain it but you should read Cat and Bnone’s story it explains somethings in Once Burned although you don’t have to read them to get Vlad’s story. I read Cat’s story after I read Once Burned and they are amazing.
Thank you! I’ll will read Cat and Bone’s story as soon as I finish this…which will be like tomorrow! It is so easy to get caught up in the story, I don’t want to stop reading.
Hi Erika, Halfway to the Grave does explain how Cat being a half-breed happened and how rare it was. Leila wouldn’t have known the details, which is why she answered her father the way she did in Twice Tempted. Take care!

I loved Twice Tempted, but how long do we need to wait for the third book? I am already in agony waiting for the next Vlad and Leila story. The audiobook is absolutely fantastic, kudos for another great Night Huntress World story!
Lynne, I don’t have a release date for Vlad and Leila #3 yet because my publisher hasn’t given it to me. I know it will be next year, though, and once I have more information, I’ll update my website. In between that will be the next Cat and Bones book, if that helps any :).
On your tour for Once Burned you had on-line feed from one of your book signings and Q&As, will there be anything similar this time around (for us, international fans :)?
Arion, live feed wasn’t arranged for any of these events, sorry. That’s something my publisher sets up when they have the capabilities. There is the link to the TV interview that I posted above, but that’s all I have.
Just finished! I so want more and damn what a cliff hanger. Love Vlad and Leila and can’t wait for next installment. Oh, what a teaser at the end with Bones and Cat. My very FAV vamp couple, with Vlad and Leila right behind them. Would love to have a story with the four of them together.
I LOVED THE BOOK! Words can’t describe how we’ll written it was or how you developed Vlad and Lelia’s relationship in the book! I hope there is a third book to Vlad and Lelia’s story in the future!

I would like to say that I loved your book. I got it at midnight and I stayed up to 8 am reading. I had to make myself go to sleep. 🙂 I do want to say that I am glad that the surgey went good. At least I hoped it did. Congrats on a great book.
Twice Tempted was sooooo good! I loved it. Can not wait for 3rd book! Listened to the audiobook twice already. Any ideas of any future spin offs? Maximus? Ian? A book combining all the characters together would be awesome!
“Twice Tempted” is by far my favorite of anything you’ve written! Vlad-and you of course-surprised the CRAP outta me. You’ve made me incredibly happy and also extremely frustrated because I can’t wait for the third installment of the Night Prince series. Can’t wait for “Up From the Grave”!
Wow! This book was amazing – I could not stop listening. The chemistry between Vlad and Leila wàs so great, and at times I would just start laughing out loud. I will eagerly await the next installment and I am hopeful that just maybe you will consider a fourth installment for this steamy couple!

I have reread the NIght Prince series at least 3 times since March 26th. I am obsessed. Thank You So much for writing such fun series. Will you post any deleted scenes from the Night Prince series? If “vampires are unable to impregnate humans”, can vampires have babies with each other? Will we have little Vlad’s and Bone’s running around? I CANNOT wait for the next book!!!
I wanted to make the book last longer than it normally takes me to read. I tried to slow down, but just couldn’t put it down. So, I read it twice back to back. I guess the title does say it all. I really loved it and can’t wait for the next book. I would love to see you continue Vlad and Leila like Cat and Bones.
Just finished my third listen of Twice Tempted and I enjoyed it immensely. I hope you consider extending the Night Prince series. Vlad and Leila are such strong characters, I believe they have more stories to tell. After you kill off Vlad’s worst enemy why can’t another big problem be waiting for them to solve. Another thing, will Leila gain another paranormal ability now that she’s a vampire other than the usual ones the others have. Is Maximus going to be in the next book? Keep them coming!
