Up from the Grave cover, stepback, and description

April 27, 2013 by Jeaniene Frost 86 Comments

It’s early to post this because pre-order links won’t be up until next month, but I’m excited and didn’t want to wait to share :). Without further ado, here is the cover, stepback (inside cover art) and description for Up from the Grave, Cat and Bones #7. I also just found out the release date, which is January 28, 2014. That’s about a month later than I thought it would be, but that’s how it goes.

UpFromGraveCOV

There’s always one more grave to dig.

Lately, life has been unnaturally calm for vampires Cat Crawfield and her husband Bones.  They should have known better than to relax their guard, because a shocking revelation sends them back into action to stop an all-out war…

A rogue CIA agent is involved in horrifying secret activities that threaten to raise tensions between humans and the undead to dangerous heights.  Now Cat and Bones are in a race against time to save their friends from a fate worse than death…because the more secrets they unravel, the deadlier the consequences.  And if they fail, their lives—and those of everyone they hold dear— will be hovering on the edge of the grave.

UpFromGrave SB for blog

As a reminder, the model who did book covers 1 – 5 stopped doing book covers altogether, so before people pelt me with “I told you I didn’t like the new model, get the old one back!” comments, we had no choice about finding a new cover model. I think Avon did a wonderful job coming up with a replacement. This is the same model that was on the cover for One Grave at a Time and I’m pleased that we were able to get her again for Up from the Grave.

Hope you like it and have a great weekend!

The cover was a bit shocking at first but I guess that’s because the other covers always showed Cat with a bit of distance, but I like the way she seems to be jumping out of the coffin. And I didn’t mind the change of model and that’s cool they kept the same one. I like the stepback too, but I guess Bones’s eyes lool a little… funny. Great overall. You always get cool covers.

And if I had red hair I would be begging to be the cover model, bc hello….. who wouldn’t want to portray Cat and model with a sexy Bones???

I think the cover looks great. They don’t look like the Cat & Bones I my imagination but so what. I don’t think I have ever seen a book cover that did. That’s why books are better than movies. There is a degree of subjectivity to it. Can’t wait for this next installment of Cat &Bones!

Thank you – I always appreciate that you post the cover art and description before we can get it elsewhere! FWIW, I really like the cover art – the new model is great. (And my mental picture of Cat isn’t really based on either cover model… Never is, unless the author *says* the cover model is just as they pictured the heroine. Which they never do.)

I am SO excited for this book to come out! I can’t get enough of this series, I have them ALL on Audbile (including the Night Prince series because Vlad it my favorite character – I was so excited to find out he was getting his own series) and have listened to them ALL more than once. And no matter how many times I have listened to them they are still just as great as the 1st time.

I was hooked after listening to just the sample of Half Way to the Grave on Audible. I was looking for something fun but within this genre with some romance and I stumbled upon this series and since then no other book (or series) compares! Nothing comes as close to amazing as this series. I even got my best friend hooked on them all too! Once the newest book comes out we buy it that day and usually have it finished before the week is over. We have tried to find another series to listen to while we wait for the newest installment but most of them are a let down. I have found a few series that I like and the Sookie Stackhouse is the only other Vampire series that I just adore!

Waiting until Jan. 2014 for Up from the Grave is NOT going to be easy!

Keep doing what you do cause you absolutely rock!!!!

what if you typed a catchier post title? I ain’t suggesting your information is not good., however suppose you added something that grabbed people’s attention?
I mean Up from the Grave cover, stepback, and description | Frost Light is kinda boring.
You ought to peek at Yahoo’s front page and see how they create news titles to get viewers interested. You might add a video or a picture or two to get people excited about everything’ve got to say.
In my opinion, it would bring your website a little

Could it be just me or do some of the comments look like left by brain dead visitors? 😛 And, if you are posting on additional sites, I’d like to follow you.
